Boise State will look to avenge last season’s heartbreaking loss to Nevada today, but they’ll have to do so without the services of their starting cornerback.
The Idaho Statesman reports today that Broncos CB Jerrell Gavins (awesomely pictured) will miss today’s game against the Wolf Pack -- and possibly longer -- due to an unspecified injury he suffered during practice this week. Sophomore Quaylon Ewing-Burton is expected to start in Gavins’ place.
Coach Chris Petersen is expected to address the specifics of the injury after the game.
Gavins leads the team with three interceptions.
