Late last week it was reported that ex-Ohio State defensive lineman Kenny Hayes had decided to continue his collegiate playing career at Toledo.
A handful of days later, that report has officially come to fruition.
The Rockets announced via a press release Tuesday that Parker has indeed transferred into the football program. The defensive end will be forced to sit out the 2013 season, and will have three years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2013.
“We are pleased that Kenny has decided to come home and join our football program,” UT head coach Matt Campbell said in a statement. “He is very talented young man who can help our team in the future. We look forward to his growth as a player, as a student and as a young man.”
A four-star member of OSU’s 2011 recruiting class, Hayes was rated as the No. 7 strongside end in the country and the No. 4 player at any position in the state of Ohio. He took a redshirt as a true freshman last season.
