Former five-star RB leaving Oklahoma

A former five-star running back out of Van, Texas, Jermie Calhoun has decided to transfer from Oklahoma, coach Bob Stoops announced on Monday.

Calhoun was sparsely used last season, gather a mere 22 yards on 11 carries. In all, he gathered He compiled 242 yards on 56 carries in two season with the Sooners.

The announcement of his departure comes just six days after fellow back Jonathan Miller announced he would be leaving the OU program. Both backs have been outshined this season by walk-on Dominique Whaley, who rushed for 131 yards and four touchdowns in OU’s season-opening victory over Tulsa, which further proves that coaches never know what they’re really going to get out of a prospect when they sign with a school.
