FSU, USF schedule home-and-home for 2015, ’16

In more non-conference scheduling news, Florida State and South Florida have announced a home-and-home for the 2015 and ’16 seasons.

Florida State will host USF on Sept. 26, 2015 in Tallahassee before traveling to Tampa for a Sept. 24, 2016 road game against the Bulls.

“We’re excited to have USF back on the schedule,” FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher said in a statement. “They’re a great program. It’s been a good series thus far, and it’s great for our fans to have another in-state series on the schedule.”

Fisher’s right about one thing: the series has been even. FSU beat USF 30-17 last year, but lost the program’s first meeting against the Bulls in 2009.

For now, FSU’s 2015 schedule is complete with other non-conference games against Texas State (Sept. 5), UT-Chattanooga (Nov. 21), and Florida (Nov. 28). USF actually has one too many games scheduled for 2015. A game against Florida A&M (Sept. 5),Indiana (Sept. 12), Maryland (Sept. 19), or Nevada (Oct. 3) will have to be rescheduled or dropped, though Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports that will likely be Nevada.
