Sad news coming out of Raleigh this afternoon as North Carolina State offensive coordinator Dana Bible has been diagnosed with leukemia, the Raleigh News & Observer is reporting.
Bible found out he had the disease on Friday, and did not travel with the team to their game in Blacksburg Saturday. The coordinator will be hospitalized for the next 30 days as he begins treatment.
“He’ll fight it. If he has a chance to beat it, he’ll beat it,” head coach Tom O’Brien said.
O’Brien and Bible attended the same high school, and Bible has been a part of O’Brien’s coaching staffs at both Boston College and NC State.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bible and his family as he goes through this trying time.
