A University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill press release has stated that Tarheel coach Butch Davis has banned his players from using Twitter, joining the likes of Randy Shannon at Miami and Chris Peterson at Boise State to bar their players from the social networking site.
“[Davis’] decision follows at least two instances where players were told to take down Twitter posts ... defensive tackle Quinton Coples and fullback Devon Ramsey both made inappropriate posts recently. Ramsey’s post involved a photograph” says the release.
No details in the release were given about exactly what was said by Coples or Ramsey, but we’re pretty sure it’s child’s play compared to the actions Greg Little and Marvin Austin.
