2010 starter among three former Horned Frogs popped for being drunk in public

Allegedly.

According to WFAA-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth, TCU’s Cory Grant was one of three football players arrested following an incident at a Dallas nightclub Saturday. The television station reports that the defensive tackle was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

The other two players, former Horned Frogs and Stephen Hodge and Jerry Hughes, were also charged with being drunk in public. Today is Hodge’s 24th birthday, so, ummm, happy birthday Stephen?

There was no word, other than the alleged consumption of copious amounts of alcohol, on what led to the arrest.

Grant started 25 games in the past two seasons, including all 13 in 2010, and was named to the second-team All-Mountain West squad each of those years.
