UConn gets a little thinner at RB

In the past two months, UConn has lost their two leading rushers from the 2010 season -- Jordan Todman to early entry into the NFL draft and Robbie Frey to a decision to leave the football program and transfer to Kutztown State.

Now comes word that, at least temporarily, the Huskies will be sans another experienced player at the position.

According to the Hartford Courant, Jonathan Jean-Louis will likely be sidelined for all of spring practice due to injury. The redshirt senior underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum that he played with most of last season.

Jean-Louis, who began his UConn career as a defensive back before moving over to the other side of the ball before the start of the 2010 season, played in nine games last season. For his career, he’s played in a total of 30 games.
