USC senior running back Marc Tyler has been reinstated to the football team after serving a one-game suspension for a few off-the-field incidents, which included some off color comments that may or may not have included references to Kim Kardashian and “breaking bread” in front of a TMZ camera, coach Lane Kiffin said today.
What is still uncertain is how much Tyler will play in the Trojans’ week two matchup against Utah.
"[He] completed all those things and hopefully he’ll continue that way,” Kiffin said. “He did [scout] team all week for us last week and was very productive down there. ... I know they beat him up down there, which is what he needed after missing camp, so he still has a lot of work to do but it’s good to have a guy who’s played a lot back.
“Anytime that you can add a guy who’s been there, done it, they usually play better than the guys [with less experience].”
Tyler had been practicing with the Trojans for the past couple of weeks, although Kiffin admitted at the time that the return was “not a major step” for the senior.
