PITCHER
Mike Soroka – Atlanta (at San Francisco)
Soroka has been a revelation for the Braves this season, currently holding a 0.98 ERA while surrendering only four earned runs across 36.2 innings with 34 strikeouts. His salary on daily fantasy platforms has spiked as a result, but that is fully warranted. The 21-year-old righty steps into a favorable situation to keep impressing tonight. His opponent, San Francisco, ranks 25th in wRC+ with an above-average strikeout rate at 24.3%. It’s not like Soroka needs the help, but Oracle Park is extremely friendly to starting pitchers. Go ahead and look towards the Atlanta youngster through all formats tonight, as this is an excellent spot to keep rolling.

CATCHER / FIRST BASE
Kendrys Morales – NY Yankees (at Baltimore)
Morales is now a member of the Yankees, racking up three hits, one homer, and three RBIs in his first three games wearing the pinstripes. He should continue to get opportunities in the heart of New York’s order, which makes him a tempting value option on tonight’s slate. Morales will step in against Baltimore RHP Andrew Cashner in hitter-friendly Camden Yards. Cashner holds a generous .346 wOBA split to left-handed bats, and the Orioles’ bullpen is one of the worst in the league. Keep an eye on the Yankees tonight, and Morales is an intriguing bargain within that.

SECOND BASE
Rougned Odor – Texas (vs Seattle)
Texas checks in with one of the highest run-scoring projections of the night. That’s usually the case whenever they are playing a non-elite pitcher at home. Taking on Mike Leake in hitter-friendly Globe Life Park certainly fits the bill. Leake has been surprisingly effective over his past two starts, but this matchup has regression written all over it. Prior to those back-to-back quality starts, the Seattle pitcher coughed-up 12 earned runs and 23 hits over 17 innings across three starts. I’m thinking we’ll see that version of Leake tonight. If that’s the case, Odor makes for a promising mid-range second baseman with power upside.

THIRD BASE
Marwin Gonzalez – Minnesota (at LA Angels)
Gonzalez is really starting to turn things around after a slow start to the year. He has posted five hits and three runs over his past two games, and his fantasy potential will remain very high while hitting in this dangerous Minnesota order. Tonight’s matchup is reasonably good while facing Angels’ opener Taylor Cole and long relief pitcher Felix Pena. The Twins were able to get to Pena last week, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a similar situation plays out tonight.

SHORTSTOP
Gleyber Torres – NY Yankees (at Baltimore)
As mentioned earlier, this is an excellent spot for the Yankees to put up some runs. Baltimore RHP Cashner is even worse against right-handed bats, holding a .377 wOBA split in that regard. Torres has been heating up with 14 hits over his past 10 games, and I fully expect him to keep that going in this beautiful draw. Carlos Correa is another strong DFS play at shortstop, but Torres is slightly cheaper with a great matchup as well.

OUTFIELD
Shin-Soo Choo – Texas (vs Seattle)
I’ll say it once again, Texas is an offense to target on this slate. Seattle RHP Mike Leake is primed for regression while facing a dangerous Rangers’ order on the road. Choo is one of the top lifts within that while riding a hot streak of five hits, three homers, four runs, and four RBIs over his past four games. Returning to hitter-friendly Globe Life Park has something to do with that.
Mitch Haniger – Seattle (at Texas)
Let’s look to the other side of this high-scoring battle between Seattle and Texas. Haniger has an encouraging blend of contact and power while swinging a confident bat with five hits and two homers over his last five starts. A park upgrade to go along with the platoon advantage over Texas LHP Mike Minor is a situation I’m interested in.
