Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Don’t forget, for everything NHL, check out NBC Sports EDGE’s Player News, and follow @NBCSEdgeHK and @CoreAbbott on Twitter.

Monday has seven games on the schedule.

Forwards:

David Pastrnak (Boston) - W - $8,300 (FanDuel), $8,900 (DraftKings), $34 (Yahoo)

Pastrnak registered two goals and one assist in Saturday’s 7-5 win over Pittsburgh to end a three-game scoreless skid. He could be in line for another big performance on Monday night against a Philadelphia team has struggled to keep the puck out of the net. Pastrnak also has six goals and two helpers in three previous matches versus the Flyers this year. That includes two hat-trick performances.

Gabriel Landeskog (Colorado) - W - $7,100 (FanDuel), $6,900 (DraftKings), $28 (Yahoo)

Landeskog has been on a scoring tear since the end of February with 11 goals and 28 points in his past 20 outings. He has been held off the scoresheet once in the last 12 games, while putting up seven markers and 13 assists. He currently has three goals and four helpers over a four-game point streak. Additionally, Landeskog has two goals and eight points in his previous six contests against Minnesota this campaign.

Mark Scheifele (Winnipeg) - C - $7,000 (FanDuel), $6,400 (DraftKings), $27 (Yahoo)

Scheifele has generated three goals and seven points in the last seven games. He has been held off the scoresheet twice during that stretch, including Friday’s loss to Toronto. However, he stands a very good chance of getting back on track on Monday. Scheifele has compiled three goals and 10 points in five matches against Ottawa this season. He has picked up at least one point in each of those outings, which includes four multi-point efforts.

Bargain Bin: David Krejci (BOS) - C - $5,200 (FanDuel), $4,200 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo), William Karlsson (VGK) - C - $5,500 (FanDuel), $4,900 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo), Joonas Donskoi (COL) - W - $4,300 (FanDuel), $4,800 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo), Nick Schmaltz (ARI) - C - $3,900 (FanDuel), $3,900 (DraftKings), $16 (Yahoo), Phillip Danault (MTL) - C - $4,500 (FanDuel), $3,800 (DraftKings), $20 (Yahoo), Andrew Copp (WPG) - W - $3,800 (FanDuel), $4,400 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Zach Hyman (TOR) - W - $4,700 (FanDuel), $5,800 (DraftKings), $21 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Shea Theodore (Vegas) - $6,300 (FanDuel), $6,500 (DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)

Theodore carries a big cap hit, but he could be worth spending up for if you have the flexibility. He has generated three goals, 12 assists and 41 shots in his last 14 appearances. Theodore has been held off the scoresheet just three times during that stretch, while posting point streaks of six and four games. Additionally, he has one goal and four helpers in four previous meetings with St. Louis.

Shea Weber (Montreal) - $4,900 (FanDuel), $5,200 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo)

Weber has supplied five assists, including two on the power play, in the past four contests. He has been credited with 14 shots, five hits and four blocks during that span. The Canadiens captain also has one goal and two helpers in four games versus Edmonton this campaign.

Bargain Bin: Charlie McAvoy (Boston) - $4,600 (FanDuel), $5,400 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Jakob Chychrun (ARI) - $4,500 (FanDuel), $19 (Yahoo), Devon Toews (COL) - $4,600 (FanDuel), $5,100 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo), Alec Martinez (VGK) - $4,500 (FanDuel), $19 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:

Jack Campbell (Toronto) - $8,100 (FanDuel), $7,900 (DraftKings), $38 (Yahoo)

Campbell turned aside 57 of 59 shots in a two-game series sweep of Winnipeg last week. He is expected to start on Monday night after getting Sunday’s game versus Calgary off to rest. He has posted a record of 8-0-0 this season with a 1.35 goals-against average and .951 save percentage. Campbell also has two wins in two previous appearances versus the Flames this year. He has a 1.00 GAA, a .969 SV% and one shutout in those matches.

Cal Petersen (Los Angeles) - $7,300 (FanDuel), $7,700 (DraftKings), $29 (Yahoo)

Petersen was excellent in last Friday’s loss to San Jose after he backstopped the Kings to an impressive win over Vegas previously. He turned aside 73 of 77 shots in those two contests. The Kings will face a tired Arizona team that played the night before, which could put Petersen in a good spot should he get the nod to play. It would be his turn if the rotation continues and he stopped 22 of 24 shots in a 4-2 win over the Coyotes back on February 20.

Bargain Bin: Carey Price (MTL) - $7,700 (FanDuel), $7,800 (DraftKings), $26 (Yahoo), Connor Hellebuyck (WPG) - $7,500 (FanDuel), $32 (Yahoo)
