Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.
Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster five players (a captain worth 1.5 points and four other players) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for six players (a captain at 1.5 times the points and five other players). Players
Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay) - W - $15,500 (FanDuel), $16,200 (Draft Kings)
Kucherov has been hot of late with four goals and 17 points in his last nine games, which included playing less than nine minutes before he was hurt in the game-clincher against Boston on August 31. The former Art Ross Trophy winner finished seventh in NHL scoring during the regular season and has been strong in the post-season to date as he is second in scoring with 23 points.
Jordan Eberle (Islanders) - W - $9,500 (FanDuel), $7,400 (DraftKings)
The 30-year-old has come into his own with the Islanders and despite going pointless in his last two games, Eberle still has four goals and 13 points in 19 playoff games. The veteran had played in only 21 playoff games in his career before this season so this is quite the showing for the former Oiler. He is nicely priced in both FanDuel and DraftKings.
Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay) - D - $11,000 (FanDuel), $9,400 (DraftKings)
Hedman is a top-three defenseman in the NHL and is a finalist for the Norris Trophy this season after winning it in 2017-18. He has five goals and 13 points in 16 games and leads everyone in the playoffs with a plus-14 rating. Hedman leads the Lightning defensive corps and is a huge part of their potent power play. He is a very good play in both and is the best value at $683 per FanDuel fantasy point.
Anthony Beauvillier (Islanders) – W - $10,500 (FanDuel), $11,700 (DraftKings)
Beauvillier had 18 goals and 39 points in 68 games this season but has turned it on in the post-season with nine goals and 14 points in 19 games, after his goal and assist on Friday. He is finally showing why he was a first-round pick in 2015 and playing with Brock Nelson and Josh Bailey on the second unit, has given the Islanders enough scoring to get into the Conference Final.
Mathew Barzal (Islanders) – C - $14,000 (FanDuel), $13,500 (DraftKings)
Barzal is the heart and soul of the Islanders and had a pair of goals with four assists against the Flyers in a tough seven game series. He led New York in the regular season with 60 points in 68 games and if the Islanders are to have any chance to beat Tampa Bay, Barzal has to be at his best, especially when in the offensive zone. He has two goals and three assists in his last six contests.
Ondrej Palat (Tampa Bay) – W - $11,500 (FanDuel), $8,200 (DraftKings)
Palat has been on fire of late and has seven goals in his last seven games. He plays on the Lightning’s top power play with Steven Stamkos out of the lineup and has been a stud for Tampa Bay in the last two weeks.
Bargain Bin: Josh Bailey (Islanders) - W - $8,500 (FanDuel), $10,500 (Draft Kings), Anthony Cirelli (Tampa Bay) - C - $8,000 (FanDuel), $5,400 (DraftKings), Jean-Gabriel Pageau (Islanders) – C - $8,000 (FanDuel) $11,400 (DraftKings), Ryan Pulock (Islanders) – D - $9,050 (FanDuel) $12,000 (DraftKings), Zach Bogosian – D- $6,000 (FanDuel), $3,400 (DraftKings)
