Norman and Ex-Wife Settle Contentious Divorce

STUART, Fla. -- Golfer Greg Norman and his ex-wife settled a contentious divorce.

Norman and Laura Andrassy have been in a dispute over money and assets since Norman filed for divorce last year to end their 25-year marriage.

‘Their marriage has been dissolved,’ Andrassy’s attorney, Russell Ferraro Jr., said Monday.

Andrassy’s attorneys last month accused Norman of cutting off her credit cards, leaving her without income. Norman’s lawyers denied the claim and said she had been provided ample funds.

The couple reached an agreement earlier this month, and a judge finalized the confidential settlement on Friday.

Two issues remain unresolved, Ferraro said.

Norman and Andrassy will return to court to determine how they will split the tax liability on Norman’s jet, and whether Andrassy is entitled additional money she claims she lost because of delays in finalizing the divorce.

Norman’s attorney, Martin L. Haines, III, did not immediately return a telephone message on Monday.

Greg Norman and former tennis star Chris Evert, who also recently divorced, have been romantically linked after being seen together on several occasions. During a golf event in Australia last year, Norman would only say they are ‘very, very close friends.’
