Six more players - Francesco Molinari, David Lingmerth, Matt Jones, Tim Clark, Harris English and Daniel Berger - were added to the Open Championship field Monday.

Per The Associated Press, the invites were extended “when it became clear the Open would not fill all the spots from remaining qualifiers for the 156-man field at St. Andrews.”

Molinari is currently ranked 43rd in the world but was outside the top 50 cut-off at the May deadline to qualify via the Official World Golf Ranking. His brother, Eduardo, was already in the field thanks to his top-10 finish at Hoylake last year. Francesco has played well at the Open each of the last two years, with a T-9 in 2013 and T-15 last year.

English tied for 15th in 2013 but missed the cut last year. Clark has only made the weekend in three of nine attempts. Jones’ only appearance was a T-54 last year.

Lingmerth, this year’s Memorial champion, will be making his Open debut, as will Tour rookie Berger.

These six names join the 10 who cracked the Open field Sunday via Qualifying Series, FedEx Cup and Road to Dubai exemptions.
