Vikings signed Wisconsin QB Joel Stave.
Stave (6'5/236) made 41 starts for the Badgers, posting a 31-10 record, 59.5% completion rate, 7.41 YPA, and 48:37 TD-to-INT ratio. Stave looks the part with ideal NFL size, big hands (10 5'8"), plus Combine measurables, and plenty of arm strength, but his accuracy and decision making were problematic in the Big Ten, leading to more interceptions (22) than touchdowns (20) over the past two seasons. NFL coaches may be intrigued by his traits, but Stave is a fundamentally flawed quarterback with little chance of making it in the pros.
