It’s a slightly under-slot deal for Tibbs, who winds up with $4.747 million of a potential $5.272 million signing bonus as the 13th overall pick from the 2024 MLB Draft. The 21-year-old outfielder is coming off an impressive collegiate career at Florida State. The biggest question in his offensive profile is whether he’ll make enough contact to allow his above-average offensive skillset to excel at the highest level.

Tibbs was one of the most productive hitters in college in 2024 while helping Florida State reach the College World Series with 28 homers and a 1.264 OPS over 66 games for the Seminoles. A left-handed hitter, Tibbs has a chance to hit for both average and power at the highest level, but it’s worth noting he posts well below-average run times and probably won’t be a helper with steals. There’s also some question as to how he’ll handle left-handed pitching at the highest level, but there’s enough offensive upside to suggest Tibbs can be a strong fantasy option because of his pop and ability to get on base.
