Royals signed RHP Justin Friedman to a minor league contract.
Friedman was released by the White Sox last week and didn’t take very long to find a new home. The 24-year-old righty made 13 appearances (five starts) last year with the White Sox’ Rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate.
