With the Dodgers on the verge of clinching the NL West, the team has activated utilityman Enrique Hernandez from the 15-day disabled list.

Hernandez has been sidelined since August 30 due to a strained left hamstring. Actually, he’s been out since August 31 if you want to include his time in the Rally Banana Suit. For the purposes of this post, we will.

Acquired from the Marlins in the Dee Gordon trade last winter, Hernandez has played really well with the Dodgers, this season, batting .308/.350/.492 with six home runs and 21 RBI over 71 games while seeing time at six different positions. The 24-year-old was splitting time with the struggling Joc Pederson in center field prior to the injury, so he could play an important role in the postseason.
