Important Update: Carroll apparently put together this hilarious video advertising his endorsement services. Tip of the cap to Sung Min Kim of River Ave Blues for tweeting about it.

The Rangers have acquired pitcher Scott Carroll in exchange for cash considerations, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports. He’ll report to Double-A Frisco.

Carroll, 31, has spent most of the season with Triple-A Charlotte. He has a lackluster 5.55 ERA with a 31/25 K/BB ratio in 60 innings. The right-hander also has a career 4.60 ERA in 168 1/3 innings at the big league level.

Carroll has just over a year of service time, putting him on track to become eligible for arbitration for the first time in 2018.
