Former Stanford junior RB Nathaniel Peat has transferred to Missouri.
Peat (5'10"/195) announced last week that he would be entering the transfer portal, and how now landed back in his home state at Missouri with the Tigers. Peat was the lead rusher for Stanford in 2021, as he rushed 77 times for 394 yards and three touchdowns for a Cardinal team that ranked 126th in rushing yards per game (87.3). Peat now heads to Missouri, where he will likely have a chance to take over for former starting running back Tyler Badie, who has left for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Former Stanford junior RB Nathaniel Peat will enter the transfer portal.
Peat (5'10"/195) was the lead back for a Stanford offense that finished last in the conference in rushing yards per game. It’s not entirely his fault as this was a notably bad Stanford offensive line. He may not get that same opportunity on a good P5 team, but he could move down and get a prominent role somewhere else.

Stanford junior RB Nathaniel Peat has entered the transfer portal.
Peat (5'10"/195) had his most productive season of his career so far in 2021, rushing for 404 yards and three touchdowns on 5.1 yards per carry. Stanford was one of the worst offenses in the NCAA this year, but Peat was their best runner this year in basically every category. Now he’ll be moving on.

Stanford junior RB Nathaniel Peat rushed four times for 35 yards and a touchdown in a 35-14 loss to Oregon State on Saturday.
Peat (5'10/195) served as the number two running back behind an ineffective Austin Jones, catching two passes for nine yards in addition to his rushing work. His best play came when he took an inside carry through the B-gap before spinning away from a would-be tackler for an 18-yard touchdown run. There really wasn’t much to be happy about for the Cardinal, as their rushing attack continues to be punchless and irrelevant. They will try to put together a more cohesive offensive attack next week against Cal in “The Game”.

Stanford junior RB Nathaniel Peat rushed 15 times for 78 yards in a 31-24 victory over Oregon this Saturday.
Heading into the game, Stanford opening day starting RB Austin Jones was considered a true game time decision, with Peat (5'10/195) expected to tote the rock if Jones can’t go. In a somewhat surprising development, Jones was able to suit up and play, but was limited in his effectiveness which gave Peat the lion’s share of carries again. He was up to the task, averaging 5.2 yards per carry and catching a pass for 12 yards while helping the Cardinal to keep the chains moving. He looks likely to have earned at least a co-starter role next Saturday against Arizona State regardless of Jones’ health status.
