Carolina Hurricanes forward Radek Dvorak was ejected in the first period of Thursday’s game against the Florida Panthers for running goalie Roberto Luongo.
The incident occurred with just over seven minutes remaining in the opening period. You can view the collision by clicking on this link. Dvorak was driving to the net down the right side, but collided hard with Luongo as he appeared to try and make a move off the rush.
Dvorak was given a major penalty for charging and a game misconduct. Luongo has left the game and is not expected to return, according to NHL.com.
