Columbus added some size up front on Tuesday, picking up forward Adam Cracknell off waivers from Los Angeles.
Cracknell, 29, has appeared in 65 career NHL contests, all of them coming with the Blues between 2010-14. He gained a bit of infamy as part of St. Louis’ ”CPR Line” -- along with Chris Porter and Ryan Reaves -- during the ’13 playoffs, but never found a regular spot under Ken Hitchcock and signed on with Los Angeles this July.
It’s unclear if Cracknell will stick with the Jackets, or if they’ll try to send him down to AHL Springfield. Per the Columbus Dispatch, it sounds as though Cracknell will be on the NHL roster and could play Thursday when the Jackets open against Buffalo.
