Kyle Turris hasn’t signed with a European club yet, but with the lockout dragging on, he’s one of many NHL players that’s re-evaluating his position, based on an Ottawa Citizen report.

“It’s definitely an option that I knew about to begin with, that I’ve started considering more seriously now,” Turris said.

Turris doesn’t feel like things are “promising” right now as far as the CBA negotiations and ongoing lockout are concerned and he’s preparing for the worst.

He had 12 goals and 29 points in 55 games with the Ottawa Senators and Phoenix Coyotes last season. He signed a two-year, $2.8 million contract last season after a lengthy contract dispute with the Coyotes while he was still a restricted free agent.

He inked a five-year, $17.5 million extension with Ottawa over the summer. That deal will begin with the 2013-14 campaign.
