Leicester City are set to sit down with manager Claudio Ranieri at the end of the season to discuss a new contract.
Ranieri, 64, led the Foxes to their first-ever top-flight title in his first season in charge at the King Power Stadium and has become a legendary figure not only in Leicester but around the world.

With such success comes interest and the head of the Italian FA has already left the Roma native an open invitation to manage the Italian national team in the future.
For now, though, Leicester wants Ranieri to remain in charge for many years to come as he aims to take the Premier League champions to new heights next season in their first-ever campaign in the UEFA Champions League.

Vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha spoke with the British media about extending Ranieri’s deal at the KP. He also confirmed that Ranieri’s assistant who were already at Leicester before he arrived last summer, Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh, were closing to signing new deals.
Here’s some of what he said, via the Guardian:“At the end of the season we will talk about that [extending Ranieri’s contract] with him. We will sit down together and when we talk about something, it’s long term, not just until September. I like people to work for me when they are happy and enjoy working with the group of people.
“I think both [Shakespeare and Walsh] have agreed [new deals]. They did a brilliant job here and happy to do that.”
Ranieri signed a three-year deal last summer and the fact that he was the favorite with the bookmakers to be the first PL manager fired has been widely reported. However, he guided Leicester to the PL title and know a statue will be built of him in the East Midlands city.
This is how the negotiations with Leicester’s owners is likely to go: “So, Mr. Ranieri, name your price...”
Talking about money, another interesting note from Leicester is that owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has donated over $3 million to the Leicester Hospitals Charity.

Via BBC Radio Leicester, the scale of the donation has shocked the local hospitals as they say they will now be “in the Premier League of children’s hospitals.”
