Phew, what a crazy opening 45 minutes that was.
On Tuesday the second legs of two UEFA Champions League last 16 clashes took place, as Schalke took it to Real Madrid and FC Porto squeaked ahead of Basel after a tense first 45 minutes in Spain and Portugal.

In Madrid, Schalke twice took the lead through Christian Fuchs and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar but Cristiano Ronaldo equalized twice with headers as Real Madrid have been all over the place at the back. Schalke smell blood.
Over in Porto the home side are ahead thanks to Brahimi’s wonderful free kick, which you can watch here, as they lead 2-1 on aggregate in a tight clash with Swiss side Basel.
