- Burnley beat Man City 1-0 at Turf Moor in 2015
- City have 2 wins in last 6
- Burnley have gained 13 of their 14 points at home
Burnley host Manchester City on Saturday (Watch live, 7:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN and online via NBCSports.com) at Turf Moor hoping for another big scalp at home.
Sean Dyche’s side have yet to win away in the Premier League this season but it has been all about home comforts for the Clarets who’ve beaten Liverpool, Everton, Watford and Crystal Palace at home.
As for Man City, they have just two wins in their last six Premier League games but Pep Guardiola’s side have won each of their last two away games in the PL at West Brom and Palace.
In team news Burnley have no new injuries, while Guardiola is without Vincent Kompany who has suffered knee ligament damage and could be out for up to six weeks plus Sergio Aguero and Pablo Zabaleta are doubtful.
What they’re saying
Dyche on how Burnley can win: “You have to play well, them to maybe have a quiet one. The referee to maybe give you something that is a close one, the crowd to get behind you, the rub of the green, you need all of them things, and your players to play well. They are in a different world to us, on and off the pitch.”
Guardiola on Burnley’s threat: “We can’t forget Burnley beat Liverpool, lost in the 93rd minute against Arsenal and drew at Old Trafford. What they do, they do really well.”
Prediction
This is a real clash of styles and Guardiola’s City will have to work extremely hard against a Burnley side smarting from their 4-0 defeat at West Brom on Monday. Still, City’s stars will shine in a 2-0 win.
