The international matches continue to roll in as two more pivotal days of qualifying for the 2016 European Championships is upon us.
On Monday eight more qualifiers will take place as teams begin to jostle for supremacy after the first three rounds of games in their respective groups. Tuesday sees another eight qualifiers arrive but, for now, let’s focus on Monday’s slate of games.

Group B is one of the most intriguing as Gareth Bale’s Wales sit atop the standings and host Cyprus in a must-win game in Cardiff. Wales’ next three matches include a trip to Israel and playing Belgium home and away, so three points for Cymru on Monday is a must. As for Belgium, Marc Wilmots’ team travel to Bosnia to face Edin Dzeko and co. in the tie of the night across Europe. With Belgium coming off a 6-0 shellacking of Andorra and Bosnia yet to win a game in the group, the two World Cup teams will be desperate to set down their markers as group favorites.
Other matches which stand out on Monday are Guus Hiddink’s stuttering Netherlands traveling to Iceland. ‘Strakarnir okkar’ came so close to qualifying for the World Cup but lost to Croatia in a playoff. That said, they’re top of Group A with two wins from two as they welcome a Dutch side who lost to the Czech Republic in their opener and narrowly beat Kazakhstan last week. Elsewhere in Group A, the Czechs travel to Kazakhstan as they look to make it three wins from three to start off qualifying. In Group H Italy travel to face minnows Malta as Antonio Conte’s side can maintain their 100 percent record with a win, while Norway and Bulgaria clash in Oslo.
