Did you folks realize that the soccer world kept spinning despite the big news that Sepp Blatter will resign as FIFA’s president?
Exhibit A: While the world ate up the news that there would be upheaval at FIFA HQ, Brendan Rodgers learned his manager’s chair would stay safe at Anfield.

Rodgers met with Liverpool co-owner Tom Werner on Tuesday, and the BBC is reporting the two sides came up with a plan to advance the Reds under the manager’s guidance.
So prepare for more Rodgersisms in 2015-16.
From the BBC:Werner met the 42-year-old Reds boss in the city on Tuesday as part of his end-of-season review.
Liverpool finished sixth in the Premier League last season and missed out on a place in the Champions League.
But Northern Irishman Rodgers and Werner agreed on a “comprehensive plan” aimed at ensuring performances improve next season.
A main argument for Rodgers has to do with the bevy of new players who arrived last season, as many need a season to adjust to the style of the Premier League (just as any player switching leagues can have fits and starts in a new place). It makes sense that Rodgers would get to start the new season, especially without an overwhelming and clearly better candidate.
