It wasn’t from half-field, but we’ll take it anyway.

Houston Dash midfielder and USWNT hero Carli Lloyd played the role of laser blaster again on Wednesday, toasting FC Kansas City for a match-winning goal.

The 86th minute tally came moments after FCKC had drawn level at 2-2. Fellow USWNT star Lauren Holiday scored early to give KC a 1-0 lead.

According to our own Jeff Kassouf, Lloyd now has goal in seven-straight games between the Women’s World Cup and NWSL play. The win pulls Houston ahead of KC and into fourth place in the nine-team league.
