BRYCE BROWN’S ADVISOR BEING INVESTIGATED BY NCAA

Kudos to the NCAA are in order. Usually they’re about two years late to the party, you know - after the star running back already has his Heisman Trophy, Sprite endorsement deal, and celebutante girlfriend.Yet Bryce Brown and his mentor are nothing, if not trailblazers. Which has sent the NCAA to Wichita to investigate Brian Butler, the trainer and adviser to the talented tailback. While Brown, his father, and Butler will be driving across the country to LSU, the NCAA will be investigating Colby Duranleau, an athlete who once trained with Butler, according to the New York Times blog “The Quad.” Duranleau is meeting with Mike DeCesare, the NCAA’s assistant director of amateurism certification, and the meeting is about Butler. While Brown is still on course to make his college choice on March 16th at the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, the investigation into his amateur status is just another incredible twist into the most annoying recruiting saga I’ve ever read about.
