Back in mid-March it was reported that the son of Charlie Weis had been hired by Nick Saban for a position at Alabama. Since then, there’s been no official confirmation... until now. Unofficially.
Along with thousands of others, Charlie Weis Jr. graduated from Kansas over the weekend. In a tweet posted to his personal Twitter account Monday, the former KU head coach, canned by the Jayhawks in late September of last year but armed with yet another golden parachute that’s ostentatiously large, congratulated his son on both the diploma and his new place of employment.
Weis Jr. spent the past three years as a team manager for the football Jayhawks. Just what position he’ll hold in the Tide’s program is unknown.
