Texas has announced a pair of future home-and-home series with both a Pac-10 and Big Ten school, the Austin American-Statesman is reporting.
Texas will play a home game against Cal in 2015 and Minnesota in 2016. They will travel to the Gophers in ’15 and to the Golden Bears in ’16.
The Longhorns meeting with Minnesota will only be the second in the history of the two schools, with the other coming in 1936.
The announcement continues an effort on the part of the Gophers to beef up their non-conference slates in the coming years. Earlier this year, they finalized a home-and-home with Southern Cal for 2010 and 2011.
