When talking with WQAM 560 sports radio in Miami yesterday, Hurricane head coach Randy Shannon talked about a variety of things, including spring ball, new offense coordinator Mark Whipple, the development of his young players, and eventually, one-time recruit Bryce Brown.Shannon did his best to talk about the current team and his hopes for the spring, and the people who did the most to improve over the off-season. The first player Shannon mentioned was former all-word recruit, linebacker Arthur Brown, Bryce’s brother. “Arthur Brown has done a tremendous job of improving at the middle linebacker position. That’s his home, he’s shown some great progress, and he’s making a lot of plays."When asked about the heralded running back recruit, who ended up signing with Tennessee, Shannon simply said, “It’s been over for a long time... We all knew what he was going to do, we knew where he was going to be going, because we were out of the situation after those 14 days after signing day."When asked about the temptation to speak out when rumors swirled about the circus surrounding Bryce Brown and his recruitment, Shannon said, “Sometimes when you don’t say anything, people understand what’s really going on.”
