Here we go with the Single Game NFL DFS slate for Monday Night Football of Week 10. Tonight’s matchup is between the Vikings and Bears with Minnesota checking in as a three-point road favorite. The over/under currently rests at 43.5 total points.
We’ll highlight the top picks and best bargains to assemble a cash-inducing lineup. On top of that, the “additional notes” section will feature several tournament selections while adding context to the rest of this slate.

TOP PICKS
Dalvin Cook - RB - Minnesota (DK: $13,600 / FD: $17,500)
Cook really doesn’t need much of an explanation. The superstar RB has been out of this world with 478 total yards and six touchdowns over his last two games. Granted the matchup at Chicago looks tough on paper, but Cook should see around 30 touches as the focal point of Minnesota’s gameplan. I understand his salary has been marked-up accordingly, but there aren’t many other studs to target on this single-game slate. On top of that, we have enough bargains (more on that later) to comfortably make Cook a CPT/MVP candidate.
Nick Foles - QB - Chicago (DK: $9,800 / FD: $13,500)
Foles actually came through with 25 fantasy points last week at Tennessee, but it didn’t look pretty. He needed 52 passing attempts to get there while trying to avoid a constant pass rush due to multiple offensive linemen sidelined. Even though I don’t believe in Foles as a legitimate fantasy option moving forward, he’s a legitimate play through all formats tonight. The Bears don’t have a running game at this point, so Foles will need to keep chucking in order to move the chains. It just so happens that Minnesota has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. In other words, the volume and matchup potential should offset Foles’ other inconsistencies.

BEST BARGAINS
Cordarelle Patterson - WR - Chicago (DK: $5,200 / FD: $8,000)
David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen will not play tonight. That leaves Patterson, Ryan Nall, and practice-squad callup Lamar Miller to handle Chicago’s rushing attempts. I’m not expecting a ton of volume from that group, as the Bears are banged-up on the offensive line as well. It remains to be seen how this situation will play out, but it appears that Patterson is set to lead the way. Minnesota has allowed the 11th most fantasy points to running backs this season, so perhaps he’ll be able to find some room against his former team. The prospect of double-digit touches for Patterson makes him an intriguing fantasy asset in this single-game slate.
Kyle Rudolph - TE - Minnesota (DK: $3,400 / FD: $6,000)
Irv Smith Jr. will not play for the Vikings. If you recall, Smith hauled in a pair of touchdowns last week, as the tight end spot makes for a legitimate red-zone target for Minnesota. Those looks could go to veteran Kyle Rudolph with Smith sidelined on Monday. Rudolph hasn’t done much this season, but he has an outside chance at scoring (with more targets) in a potentially heightened role.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Justin Jefferson (WR - MIN) is another cash game option on FanDuel and DraftKings. He’s noticeably cheaper than teammate Adam Thielen (WR - MIN) with big-play upside to boot. Jefferson isn’t a 100% necessity on this slate, but his blend of price/upside/volume catches my attention through all formats.
Allen Robinson (WR - CHI) is another receiver you could consider over Jefferson. His salary isn’t too much more than the Minnesota rookie if you have the cap space to reach him. Even though Robinson is listed as questionable, all signs suggest he plays. The Bears could enact a pass-heavy approach without a rushing attack tonight, and Robinson could benefit from double-digit targets in this juicy matchup.
Darnell Mooney (WR - CHI) and Anthony Miller (WR - CHI) are cheaper than Robinson while still holding legitimate fantasy potential for all the same reasons. Each of them has seen 11 targets in one of the last two games, and there should be plenty of looks to go around in this Chicago offense. They both make more sense as relative values on FanDuel.
Kirk Cousins (QB - MIN) is more of a tournament play tonight. In an ideal world, Dalvin Cook will do his thing and the Vikings will only have to use Cousins sparingly on play-action. The matchup doesn’t look great even if Cousins has to throw more than expected, as Chicago has allowed the third-least fantasy points to QBs. Kirk is a tournament-only play for those reasons.
Alexander Mattison (RB - MIN) and the Vikings Defense represent a pair of value fillers to consider on DraftKings. Mattison is only $2,000 over there while the Vikings’ D is $3,000. Mattison could see double-digit touches if everything goes according to plan for Minnesota, which could yield four-to-seven fantasy points, with the outside chance of a touchdown as well. That’s not a bad return when considering the dirt-cheap salary and all of the doors it opens for the rest of your lineup.
