Rickie Fowler tweeted early Wednesday morning that he and a friend were involved in a car accident but that they both were “OK.”

Golf Channel’s Steve Sands reports that the accident occurred early Tuesday evening near Fowler’s home in Jupiter, Fla., and that no citation was issued for the incident.
Fowler, who was driving, was treated for minor cuts and abrasions on his forehead (near his hairline) by doctors at JFK Medical and then released Tuesday night. The passenger was also treated at the hospital and released without any injuries.
