Golfs bronze medal

It will be a big day for veteran Jeff Maggert at the Waste Management Open, and no, we’re not talking about his title chances from seven strokes off the pace set by Brandt Snedeker.

Maggert is playing this season out of the Q-School/Nationwide Tour graduate category, which means his ranking within that group is reordered every few months based on how much money he has earned.

All of which means Maggert will need to improve on his current position (T-41), and his pedestrian $95,000 in earnings, if he’s going to avoid a poor reshuffle on Monday, which would severely limit his starts over the next few months.

He probably can’t catch Snedeker, but watch Maggert on Sunday playing for his own bronze medal.
