ROGERS, Ark. -- The LPGA takes on a new 54-hole event this week with the LPGA NW Arkansas Championship.
This is the final event before the Solheim Cup, reflected in those who are and are not playing this week. Just five of the top-10 on the money list and 12 of the top 20 are scheduled to play.
World No. 1 Lorena Ochoa remains on a break from the tour, while four of the others in the top 20 who are missing the event are scheduled to play at the Solheim Cup.
The GOLF CHANNEL will broadcast coverage of all three rounds.
Next week is the Solheim Cup at Halmstad Golf Club in Halmstad, Sweden. The United States won the 2005 Solheim Cup 15 1/2 - 12 1/2 at Crooked Stick.
