With his first win in a decade Sunday at the U.S. Bank Championship, Corey Pavin moved up 71 places to No. 91 in the latest Official World Golf Ranking.
Pavin set a PGA Tour nine-hole scoring record (26) on Thursday, matched the tour record for lowest 36-hole total (125) and claimed his first title since the 1996 Colonial.
Hometown favorite Jerry Kelly finished runner-up in Milwaukee and advanced 13 places to 68th this week.
On the European Tour, Robert Karlsson won the Deutsche Bank Players Championship for his second title in two months. With the victory, he leaped 38 places to world No. 50 -- an improvement of 166 places since the beginning of 2006.
Elsewhere, little changed in golf’s top 20.
Tiger Woods was the top-ranked golfer for the 402nd time in his career, and he was again followed by Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk, Retief Goosen, Adam Scott, Ernie Els, Geoff Ogilvy, Sergio Garcia and Luke Donald to make up the top 10.
Places 11-17 were filled again by David Howell, David Toms, Chris DiMarco, Trevor Immelman, Colin Montgomerie, Jose Maria Olazabal and Henrik Stenson
At 18th, Padraig Harrington moved up one space and bumped Tim Clark to 19th. Darren Clarke moved into the next spot, dropping Chad Campbell out of the top 20.
