Felix Heredia has reported to Tampa to start a training program.
Heredia, who has been just awful this season, bruised the tip of his left index finger a week ago. There is no timetable at the moment for him to start pitching. When, and if, he does return to the Yankees, you don’t want him on your fantasy team.

Felix Heredia is getting closer to getting into a minor league game as part of his rehabilitation from his finger injury.
Heredia has been on the DL with a finger bruise on his left index finger, and after a few more throwing sessions, will likely pitch in the minor leagues before being recalled by the Yankees. With the way he has pitched so far this season, we would not want him for our fantasy team until he turns himself around.

Felix Heredia could begin a rehab assignment this week in Class AAA Columbus.
He has been out of action for the past month with a bruised left index finger. Heredia is not worth having on your fantasy team at the moment.

Felix Heredia recorded the save in Jose Contreras’ win at Triple-A Columbus last night.
He pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings in his first rehab appearance. Heredia has missed the past month with a bruised left index finger.

Felix Heredia walked both batters he faced tonight in his first appearance back from the minors.
Manager Joe Torre decided to have Heredia make his return in a close game and Heredia responded by throwing just two of his 10 pitches for strikes. Paul Quantrill entered and managed to bail Heredia out of the jam, but the damage has probably been done as far as Heredia’s chances of avoiding a mop-up role.

Yankees recalled LHP Felix Heredia from Double-A Trenton.
With Tanyon Sturtze, C.J. Nitkowski and Esteban Loaiza pitching multiple innings last night, the Yankees are going to need Heredia to mop up in case they get blown out again tonight.

Felix Heredia pitched two scoreless innings for Single-A Tampa yesterday in his first appearance since being sent down two weeks ago.
Heredia figures to rejoin the Yankees next month. He’d have to turn in a strong September to be included on the playoff roster.

Mets acquired LHP Felix Heredia from the Yankees for LHP Mike Stanton and $975,000.
We don’t like it. After including the cash, the Mets save just $975,000 by dumping Stanton. Heredia had a 3.04 ERA betweeen 2002 and 2003 before imploding last year, so he’s not completely hopeless. Still, it looks like a clear downgrade.

Felix Heredia gave up one run over five innings in relief of Jeff Austin tonight.
Heredia really saved the bullpen with his performance. He needed just 51 pitches to get through five innings.

MLB suspended LHP Felix Heredia 10 days, effective at the start of the 2006 season, for violating the league’s drug prevention and treatment program.
As is he needed to give teams another reason to stay away. Heredia, who underwent surgery in July for an aneurysm in his left shoulder, will become a free agent next month.
