Some positive news here for the Diamondbacks ...
According to television play-by-play man Steve Berthiaume, third baseman Jake Lamb has been cleared to begin a minor league rehab assignment Wednesday with the Triple-A Reno Aces. Lamb has been out since April 21 with a left foot injury -- he progressed much slower than expected -- so the rehab assignment figures to last over a week.
Lamb was off to a tremendous start before the injury, batting .414/.514/.690 with one home run, four doubles, and nine RBI in 10 games.
The 24-year-old should be back in action for Arizona around the middle of June.
