Reliever Francisco Rodríguez isn’t the only veteran who wants to keep his career going. Agent Scott Boras said his client Matt Holliday also intends to play next year, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Holliday, 38, signed a minor league deal with the Rockies in late July, playing a bit for Triple-A Albuquerque before being called up to the majors in late August. In 65 plate appearances spanning 25 games, Holliday hit .283/.415/.434 with a pair of home runs and three RBI. Holliday came to the plate nine times in the postseason as well, registering a walk, a single, and a double with four strikeouts.

Holliday turns 39 years old in January and is defensively limited, so it seems like he would have to sign with an American League team that could use a DH. Maybe the Rays or Royals?
