Rays acquired C Tatem Levins from the Mariners for C Blake Hunter.
Levine, a 2022 eighth-round pick, hit .286/.358/.476 with nine homers in 279 plate appearances for low-A Modesto last season. He’s already 24 and he didn’t have a great defensive reputation coming out of school, but he’s a little intriguing and the Rays are getting him for a guy they apparently would have lost in the Rule 5 draft.
