Alex Tagliani took advantage of his road course racing expertise, as well as his familiarity with Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, to be the fastest driver in Saturday’s first of two Camping World Truck Series practice sessions in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada.
Tagliani covered the road course circuit with a top speed of 109.853 mph. Erik Jones was second-fastest at 108.916 mph, followed by two-time defending Truck Series champion Matt Crafton (108.894), Ben Kennedy (108.584) and Gray Gaulding (108.509).
Johnny Sauter was sixth-fastest (108.200), followed by series points leader Tyler Reddick (108.158).
There will be one more practice session from 11:35 am to 12:55 pm ET.
Qualifying will begin at 5:45 pm ET.
Sunday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250 will take the green flag shortly after 1:30 pm ET.
