Philadelphia Flyers forward Michael Raffl, 24, got a chance to play on a line with Vincent Lecavalier and Wayne Simmonds on Tuesday and the results were positive. (CSN Philly)

Chris Bigras has agreed to an entry-level contract with the Colorado Avalanche. He was taken with the 32nd overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. (Avalanche.nhl.com)

Patrik Elias likes what he’s seen from forward Damien Brunner, but he was reluctant to predict that Brunner would end up with a contract after joining the New Jersey Devils on a tryout basis. “You look at the guys who are here and there aren’t too many spots open,” Elias said. (The Star-Ledger)
