Mahaffey

Mahaffey is following new Philly OC Sean Mannion from Green Bay to Philly. Mahaffey has been working his way up the ranks with the Packers since 2021. The Eagles went from having the league’s best ground game in 2024 to an average (at best) rushing attack in 2025. Mahaffey doens’t need to get them back to the No. 1 spot in his first year on the job, but his biggest task will be finding ways to recreate the explosive running plays that vanished this past year.

Mahaffey is an undrafted rookie out of Northern Iowa, where he played tight end and H-back. He’s now the only fullback on Indianapolis’ 53-man roster.

Mahaffey is questionable to return. The Colts have been using single-back formations since he left.

Undrafted WR Derek Moye was waived in a corresponding move. An undrafted rookie out of Northern Iowa last season, Mahaffey appeared in five games for the Colts. He’ll likely be competing with Jorvorskie Lane for a roster spot.

Mahaffey loses out to Jorvorskie Lane for the fullback job. It figures to be a seldom-used position in the Dolphins’ West Coast scheme.
