In what was an otherwise mundane spring game -- and in which there was, as expected, no answer to the quarterback question provided -- the Heisman Trust was able to liven the afternoon up a little bit at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
This past December, Derrick Henry became just the second Alabama player ever to win the Heisman Trophy. Not only does Henry receive his own personal copy of the prestigious stiff-armed trophy, but each school receives their own copy as well.
During Saturday’s A-Day game, UA, in front of a crowd of 76, 212, was presented its copy of the award from a representative of the trust by way of the winning running back. Additionally, Henry was named as one of four permanent captains of the Tide football program.
All in all, a solid day for a player who could be picked in the first round of the NFL draft in a couple of weeks.Alabama’s two @HeismanTrophy winners on hand today at #ADay2016! #RollTide pic.twitter.com/wy58RgJo2g
