Fourth ex-Auburn player sentenced in 2011 robbery

Last week, Shaun Kitchens became the third former Auburn player to be sentenced for participating in a 2011 robbery. Friday, the fourth and final former player connected to the incident, tight end Dakota Mosley, was sentenced as well.

Via court documents obtained by al.com, Mosley received a similar sentence to Kitchens: three years imprisonment as part of a 15-year split sentence, 2 years of supervised probation and a $2,000 fine for pleading guilty to first-degree robbery. Mosley was originally indicted on five counts of first-degree robbery, one count of third-degree theft, one count of first-degree burglary, and one count of hindering prosecution.

Before agreeing to the plea deal, Mosley was pleading not guilty and not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.

The other two former players to be sentenced in the robbery case were defensive back Mike McNeil and Antonio Goodwin.

McNeil, who was at the center of Selena RobersRoopstigo.com story this past spring alleging more violations in the Auburn program, was also given a 15-year split sentence in April as part of a plea agreement. McNeil had insisted he was innocent and turned down multiple plea deals. Goodwin was sentenced to 15 years in prison last year.
