Golden Gopher gets mischievous in Minnesota

Minnesota’s Troy Stoudermire has been suspended by head coachTim Brewster for conduct detrimental to the team.

As is the case with almost all suspensions similar to this, the head coach, Brewster, did notrelease any specifics on why the player, Stoudermire, was suspended.

This suspension drastically hurts the Golden Gophers, seeing as the junior wide receiver/kickreturner has been very productive throughout his career.

Stoudermire is currently second in the Big Ten in kick return average, and needs just 179 morereturn yards to become the Big Ten’s all-time leader in that category. Wisconsin’s DavidGilreath needs just147 to beat Stoudermire there.

As for catching passes, Stoudermire only has six for 114 yards on the year and one score, but heis the active leader in career receptions on Minnesota’s squad.
