Four months ago, Arizona head coach Mike Stoops and his athletic director reached an agreement on a contract extension.Since then?[crickets chirping]That should all change, the Arizona Daily Star is reporting, when the university’s Board of Regents meet at the end of this month. At that point in time, the board will vote on the extension.The May 1 roll call is expected to be a mere formality."Things like this have to go through several executive sessions’ worth of vetting,” spokeswoman Andrea Smiley told The Daily Star in response to why it’s taken so long since the initial agreement was reached.The specific financial details of Stoops’ extended contract are not yet known, although he will receive an unspecified raise. It is known that the new deal would keep Stoops at Arizona through the 2013 season.
