Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher said earlier this week it was his understanding that Rashad Greene “should be able to go” against North Carolina State this weekend.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be the case.
Following practice Wednesday, Fisher said the wide receiver suffered a setback in his recovery from an ankle injury, leading the coach to a rather pessimistic opinion of Greene’s availability.
“I doubt if he’ll even play,” Fisher said rather bluntly.
Greene originally suffered the injury Oct. 8 against Wake Forest and has missed the past two games. Despite missing a pair of contests, Greene still leads the Seminoles in receptions (26), receiving yards (457) and receiving touchdowns (six).
